I never travel without a few good books, it's great to have something to do on a long flight or when you’re not quite used to the change in time zones and end up waking up at 4am. Here are some of my recent reads.

For complete escapism
Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Run away with Scarlett and Tella to a place where anything can happen and nothing is what it seems. The girls are desperate to escape their cruel and ruthless father when an invitation to the famous Caraval game arrives solving almost all their problems. All they have to do is get there and beat the master at his own game.

For thriller lovers
The Ice Twins by S.K. Tremayne

Angus and Sarah move to a tiny Scottish island for a fresh start after a terrible accident claims one of their identical twin daughters, but which one? Both parents know more than they let on but one won’t say and the other can’t. Full of twists and turns till the last page.

For those who love a happily ever after
How To Fall In Love by Cecelia Ahern

Come along for a crazy ride with Christine. Her life is about to get turned upside down when she meets two unrelated but startlingly similar strangers who leave her questioning her entire life. Heart-warming and bubbly, perfect for anyone wanting to reaffirm their belief in the kindness of humanity.

For the young and young at heart
The List by Sioban Vivian

Go back to high school and see what happens when someone posts a list naming the prettiest and ugliest girl from each year. Who writes these lists year after year, and why? Each of the eight girls on the list reacts in a completely different way, some painful some hilarious. A book of intense teen reactions.

From the darker corners of history
Vlad: The Last Confession by C.C. Humphries

Very dark and violent and certainly not for everyone, this book takes an in depth look at Vlad the Impaler from the perspective of those closest to him. This is a novel and is not entirely historically accurate but it is a well written, alluring story. At times scary and at other times sensual, it is a real rollercoaster.
