Manchester Airport Introduce Fees For Passenger Drop Offs
As of 10 July 2018 Manchester Airport will enforce entry fees to use the drop off area in front of the airport terminals and train station.
The charges will be £3 for 5 minutes and £5 for 10 minutes, staying longer than 10 minutes will not be permitted.
Are There Any Ways Around The Drop Off Fees At Manchester Airport?
There will also be a free drop off area however this will require travellers to board a free shuttle service to the terminals which will take between 7 and 10 minutes and run 24 hours a day. Expect delays to your journey and play it safe.
You can also get into the forecourt for free if you hold a Blue Badge.
How Do I Pay For Drop Offs At Manchester Airport?
The main drop off area in front of the terminal building will have ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) barriers and cars will need to pay the fee by cash or card (contactless or chip and pin) at that time.
Has The Pick Up Process At Manchester Airport Changed?
Pick ups will not be affected and can still be collected from the car park areas at the airport at a charge of £4 for 30 minutes waiting time.
Do I Have to Pay For Drop Off Fees At Manchester Airport If I Have A Blue Badge?
No. Blue Badge holders can enter the forecourt free of charge. There will be marshals to assist if you have any problems.
